There is a vast need for integrating the parasympathetic system into our lifestyles and Restorative Yoga is a natural gateway to assist clients in healing their nervous systems. Our goal is to pass on how to trust the teacher within for healing.
During this training, we will study and discuss the intent and purpose of using restorative yoga, nervous system response, anatomical support in poses, techniques & practice and props as therapeutic tools.
For this training, we will:
- Be taking a look at the ‘why’ of restorative poses
- How to best use props (in studio and teaching to students or self practice, at home)
- I’m a huge anatomy geek and will cover some anatomy cautions and options for students with physical injuries and therapeutic tools that can be used with restorative yoga. I will be sharing things I use in my practice working with clients.
- Emotional components to restorative yoga and how to develop a plan to meet the needs of the client
